What’s in a name? A process to reflect what I offer
When I first began thinking about setting up my counselling practice, I didn’t expect one thing to hold me back: choosing a name.
I had pages and pages of ideas and notes. I went around in circles for months. Not just about what to call it, but how it would look, how it would feel, how it would sound. It wasn’t just a name, I wanted it to convey in one or two words everything I was hoping my practice would be.
I couldn’t move forward until it felt right. And yet, I knew it was a process I had to trust. So I kept going, wading through names, trying each one on for size. Many of them seemed close. Some I almost settled on. But none quite captured what I needed to say, until finally, I found it.
InnerMe.
It landed with a quiet certainty. I just knew. This was the name. It became the creative key that unlocked everything else, my website, my logo, my voice, and most importantly, my purpose.

So why did it matter so much?
Because we all have parts of ourselves we show to the world, roles we take on as parent, partner, friend, colleague. These versions of us are real, but they’re not the whole story.
There’s another part, our inner world. The one no one else fully sees. The thoughts we carry, the scars we've lived through, the way we speak to ourselves. The deep, reflective moments… and the quiet, sometimes fleeting glimmers of light, insight, or hope.
For me, the name InnerMe is about offering a space where you can bring your inner world. A space to be curious, safe, open, and honest with yourself, and with someone alongside you. A space for change, if that’s what you’re seeking.
You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You don’t even need to know exactly what you’re looking for.
You just need a space that feels safe enough to begin.
If this resonates...
If any of this speaks to you or stirs something quietly familiar I'd invite you to contact me.
I offer online and telephone counselling, at a pace that suits you.
There’s no pressure. Just a place to begin.
