Who do you work with?

I work with individual adults aged 18 and over.

What is your availability?

I offer in-person counselling sessions at a therapy room in Walsall (subject to availability) on:

  • Monday afternoons
  • Wednesday mornings
  • Thursday afternoons

On-line or telephone sessions are available during office hours and early evenings for added flexibility.

Outside of those hours, I’ll always do my best to respond to messages as soon as I can, Monday to Friday.

Do you work remotely or in person?

I offer counselling sessions in-person, on-line or by telephone so you can choose the option that feels best for you.

I offer in-person counselling from rooms located in WV13, Walsall in the West Midlands.

On-line sessions take place via Microsoft Teams a secure, GDPR-compliant platform where we can meet face-to-face. You don’t need a Teams account; I’ll send you a link by email, and with one click, you can join from your computer or tablet.

If needed, I also use a backup platform called Veesee. It’s free, secure, and easy to use and I’ll guide you through the steps if you’re unsure.

Telephone sessions are also available if that's easiest for you.

How long is a counselling session?

Counselling sessions last for 50 minutes.

What are your fees, and is support available if cost is a concern?

My standard fees are:

In-person sessions: £45 per session.

On-line sessions: £35

Concessions are available for students, trainee counsellors, pensioners, and those on low incomes.

If you’re unsure, please contact me. I'm happy to talk it through.

Fees are payable before your session to confirm your appointment.

Is counselling confidential?

This is an important question and one we’ll talk about in more detail before we begin working together.

In general, everything relating to your counselling is treated as confidential. That includes not just what you share in sessions, but also appointment times, emails, texts, and the fact that you're attending counselling.

However, there are a few specific situations where I may need to break confidentiality:

1. Legal Requirements

I have a legal duty to breach confidentiality and inform the appropriate authorities if:

  • You disclose involvement in terrorism, drug trafficking, money laundering, or other serious crimes.

  • There are safeguarding concerns involving a child (under 18) or a vulnerable adult.

2. Risk of Harm

If I believe there is a serious risk that you may harm yourself or someone else, I may need to involve an appropriate third party, such as your GP or emergency services. This is an ethical responsibility to help keep you (and others) safe.

Wherever possible, I would aim to speak with you before taking any action, but in some cases, I may be required to act whether or not we’ve been able to discuss it first.

3. Supervision

As a member of the BACP, I’m required to have regular supervision to ensure my work is safe, ethical, and effective. I may discuss elements of our work in these sessions, but always in a way that protects your identity and maintains confidentiality.

If you have any questions or concerns about confidentiality, you’re always welcome to ask.

Can I contact you between sessions?

You’re welcome to contact me between sessions to book, re-arrange, or cancel appointments.
I’m not always available to answer calls, so sending a text or email is usually best.

If you need urgent support between sessions, please contact your GP or call the NHS 111 service, selecting option 2.

You can also find details of additional emergency support services by clicking on the button and at the bottom of this page.

Getting Started

What Happens Next?

When you get in touch, you can choose to book either a free 50-minute telephone or video call, whichever feels most comfortable for you.

This is a chance for us to talk about what’s bringing you to counselling, and get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit. There’s no pressure to continue afterwards.

If you'd like to go ahead and book this free initial appointment, I’ll send over my counselling agreement and privacy policy beforehand. These documents explain how I work and how your information is handled. You’re not committing to anything by receiving them, and we can talk through any questions you might have during this initial appointment.

If you decide to continue, we can arrange ongoing 50-minute sessions. Counselling sessions are offered on an appointment-by-appointment basis and you’re welcome to attend sessions at your own pace. There's no  obligation to continue or attend a minimum number of sessions, it's entirely your choice.

If you'd like to find out more and arrange a free initial phone call or online video call, please contact me.
