What is counselling?
Counselling is often about change, but it starts with being listened to and understood.
Sometimes that change is something clear, perhaps a situation you want to talk about, a pattern you're stuck in, or a decision you're struggling with. At other times, it's harder to name. You might feel off, stuck, lost, or like something isn’t sitting quite right that you can’t put your finger on it.
Counselling gives you a confidential space to explore your concerns. It's not about quick fixes or being told what to do. It’s about having someone alongside you who helps you look a little more closely, feel a little more deeply, and understand yourself in a new way.

What type of counselling do you offer?
I am a Person-Centred counsellor, which means I provide the space for you to openly explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
My role is not to give advice or tell you what to do, but to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your situation enabling you to make decisions that feel right for you.
I offer a way of working that might include creative activities but we will always talk about this first so that you can consider and decide if it is something that you would like to do. I will also share factual information (psychoeducation) that may help your understanding and growth.

Trauma Informed Counsellor.
I am also a trauma-informed counsellor which means I understand the impact of trauma on a person's emotional, psychological, and physical well-being. When I work in this way I may suggest practical tools to support you such as grounding exercises, ways to handle emotions, or breathing techniques.
